How to make a simple resume (with a ready template)

Last updated: 20 June 2026

A resume is a one-page summary of who you are and what you can do. Keep it clean and honest. Use the structure below — or ask Saathi to write one for you in your language.

What to include

  • Name and contact (phone, email, city).
  • A one-line objective — the job you want and your strength.
  • Education — latest first, with year and marks/percentage.
  • Skills — real ones (e.g., driving, tailoring, computer, spoken languages).
  • Work experience or training — role, place, and dates.
  • Optional: certificates, references.

Simple template

[Your Name] [Phone] · [Email] · [City] Objective: To work as a [role] and use my [key skill] to help the team. Education: - [Course/Class], [School/College], [Year] — [Marks/%] Skills: [skill 1], [skill 2], [skill 3] Experience: - [Role], [Place], [Dates] — [what you did in one line] Other: [certificate/award], languages known: [ ... ]

Tips

  • Keep it to one page.
  • No spelling mistakes — read it twice.
  • Be honest; only list real skills and experience.
